Day 1

The Street Surfing Pro came in the mail yesterday. I Was surprised at how well engineered it is. A quick look at it give the impression that it is just a generic Ultra Pro. But, there is much more to this scooter.

Two things that were interesting were the brake and deck. The brake is a flex brake, witch might not seem like much of a big deal, but it is. The Pic's on the box and the websites showed a type of brake that is on a cheap razor foldy. But no, a flex brake! That saved me about $15!!

The real surprise lay underneath the deck. A reinforced head-tube!! This adds onto the value/coolness of the whole scooter.

Today I started the build of my first custom scooter. As you should know, if you read the last post on this scooter, that the deck of this scooter is gonna be painted orange. I concurred that today.

First came taking this thing apart. This was as easy as any other scooter with a threaded headset. After the 15-20 minutes it took to do that, then I got down to business.

That's all for now. I'm thinking the next part of the build will be the bars and parts that attach to them. Stay tuned for updates!
