Day 2

The latest parts for the Street Surfing Amped Pro scooter have arrived! Before I get into what they are I should update you on the situation. Due to money problems and certain party's (AKA, me...) being a little impatient, there were some changes to the build's part list. The first being the change from Fasen Smith Bars to Grit Yeh Yeh Yeh bars. This is a fair compromise, given I've ridden scooters with the Grit bars on them, so I've gotten a little warmed up to their feel. Plus they cost $50 vs. the $65 the Fasens cost. Second I replaced my old Grit Extremest Fork for the Razor Ultra Pro Fork.
Grit Yeh Yeh Yeh Bars
ODI grips
Anywho, The Grit Bars and Orange ODI's have come! Then came the problem of installing the grips. I had a rough idea of how to do this job, but was a little wary of the technique. Just spray a little hair spray into the inside of the grips, slide the grips onto the bars, and Vola!

As it turns out this was one of if not the easiest jobs in scooter assembly. The hair spray acted as a oily thing that made the grips slide on much easier, along with a glue thing. I really have no idea what it dose, but hey, it worked!!

The Finished Product
The scooter is now more or less 50% complete. Next up the District Evil Eye clamp, then onto the wheels and grip tape. Stay tuned.
